National Honor Society
The National Honor Society at Pearl High School is open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who have:
- a cumulative average of 92 or better;
- are involved in, at least, one extra- or co-curricular activity; and,
- exhibit good behavior and citizenship on a regular basis.
New members are invited to apply/join following the first term of each school year, and an induction ceremony is held in January for those new members. Membership dues vary based upon the year in which a student is inducted into the club (presently between $20 and $43 per school year).
Members must maintain a cumulative/overall average of 92 or better, attend scheduled meetings, and participate in benevolence projects (monthly) and community service projects (at least 3 hours) each semester. Those who meet these criteria are allowed to wear the NHS stole at graduation.
Historically, the National Honor Society has supported Mississippi Blood Services and the Mississippi Food Network.
